National Minority Donor Awareness Press Conference
Family of Raul Velasco will come to Houston to help promote donation awareness. His father was a liver recipient. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 @ 2 p.m. City of Houston City Hall 901 Bagby, Houston, TX 77002.

August 1st was National Minority Donor Awareness Day. A donor drive was held at Ben Taub Hospital.

Among those in attendance: Tyler D. Nelson, a teen born with cystic fibrosis. He has cirrhosis of the liver and diabetes.

He's been waiting on a liver and lung transplant for about a year now. But instead of complaining, he's helping other teens like him with his new e-book.
